Cookie a day: Fear Destroys Faith

3 When I am afraid, I will trust in You. 4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Psalm 56:3-4

When fear enters the soul, the reading of God’s Word builds one’s trust to overcome that which destroys faith. The promises of God fuels the flame within us lest we forget His promises and the flame is snuffed out.

  1. Thanks for the post, SpaniardVIII. I liked when you said, “The promises of God fuels the flame within us lest we forget His promises and the flame is snuffed out.”

God’s Word becomes the fuel that can light the fire within us but without it; all that it left are broken sticks and a small light. When we continue to read God’s Word, the fire within will never dim.
